New version of Reports ForNAV available
We are pleased to let you know that you can now download the new version of ForNAV, giving you the very latest Reports ForNAV Converter and Reports ForNAV Designer. Download the new version here: www.fornav.com/download
Show graphics in your reports
There are some new standard controls available in the Reports ForNAV Designer, enabling you to significantly enhance the layout of your reports. The standard controls include a gauge control, cross-section line and cross-section box controls, and a chart and sparkline control.
New preview function
You can now take advantage of a new fully integrated preview function that will render reports much faster, especially larger reports because they will load immediately, so you don’t have to wait for entire reports to be generated before loading. This also means that you don’t need a PDF viewer anymore to preview reports on the clients.
Support for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017
Reports ForNAV is fully tested with the upcoming Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017.
ForNAV license file required
The new version of Reports ForNAV requires a ForNAV license file. This is good news for partners, as our license system ensures that customers are duly licensed. It also eases the administration for trial licenses because you can still run and show all the features of ForNAV without a license. The only limitation in a trial version (that is without a license file) is that the text “Reports ForNAV Trial Version” is added to all pages. You can download the trial version of ForNAV from www.fornav.com/download
General enhancements
We’ve improved lots of things in Reports ForNAV, for example, we’ve made enhancements to fields and to the conversion and editing of RDLC reports, and much more. A detailed list of changes since version 1.3.0927 is available here: www.fornav.com/version-history
You don’t need to reconvert your reports at this point (unless you are running Project “Madeira”). We do, however, recommend a reconversion to ensure that you take full advantage of all the new features in ForNAV. You can read more about how to reconvert here: www.fornav.com/knowledge-base/reconverting-reports-in-fornav
You do have to recompile all ForNAV reports when you install a new version of ForNAV. To do this, you simply filter in the “Version List” and compile all report objects with ForNAV.
